Neural prolotherapy is an effective form of treatment that is used to address pain.  Neural prolotherapy was developed by Dr. John Lyfogt from New Zealand. It is a safe an effective treatment for painful conditions caused by an injured and non-healing sensory nerve causing pain, inflammation, and delay of healing.

Treatment consists of a series of small injections under the skin targeting painful and sensitive nerves with dextrose (glucose) and/or mannitol solution in sterile water in low concentrations.  This treatment addresses the superficial nerves to decrease inflammation in the nerves.  Every treatment aims to decrease or eliminate pain.  Repeat weekly treatments will steadily reduce the overall pain and allow return of full function, and decreasing or eliminating the need for pain medication.

The number of treatments varies from patient to patient, but the average number of treatments required for most conditions is 6-8 treatments and success rates vary between 80-100% depending on the condition.  With that said results are not guaranteed, and response is individual to each person and condition.
